Acupuncture can help with weight loss and overall stress and anxiety.
So swim suit season is here again and you really wish you had a better body. So you looked in the mirror and honestly admitted that you have extra weight. Do not get discouraged, it is time to start right now this moment. This is not as hard as you think, if you are consistent and follow some simple guidelines.
There are four main reasons for being overweight.
Acupuncture and Chiropractic in reducing PMS symptoms
Lower back nerves help regulate the uterus and ovaries to function properly. If these nerves become trapped between bones of vertebra and become pinched this may interfere with the function of the uterus and ovaries and then may cause PMS. Chiropractic adjustments release pinched nerves in the low back which gives relieve to PMS related symptoms. Numerous studies show that Acupuncture may help regulate hormone imbalances and reduce symptoms of PMS. It does this by balancing meridian channels that run between your external body and internal organs. Acupuncture treatments may also reduce anxiety, headaches, and relax tight muscles
Problems in your spine can lead to spinal decay.
Minor back and neck pain can be symptoms of what is called Subluxation Degeneration or Pinched Nerves. When proper spinal function is compromised a serious degenerative process is set in motion and if neglected gets worst with time. X-ray views of the spine can be used to identify if you have any problems in your spine.
Subluxation Degeneration is a relentless degenerative process associated with the Vertebral Subluxation Complex. It can be caused by uncorrected physical trauma, emotional stress, or chemical imbalance. If neglected, calcium deposition reduces joint mobility and makes complete correction difficult.
Using Acupuncture for Lower Back Pain and Neck Pain Relief
"There are more than 80 different acupuncture styles in China, as well as Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, European, and American styles. The common feature shared by all the different types of acupuncture is using needles to treat the soft tissue (acupuncture). The effects of needling activate the built-in survival mechanisms that normalize homeostasis and promote self-healing.
The acupuncture can be defined as a physiological therapy coordinated by the brain which responds to the stimulation of manual or electrical needling of peripheral sensory nerves.
Any surgery is a risk and a big stress for your body.
And you can also add to this a recovery time, missed work time, and high costs. Sometimes you can get complications and surgery will not solve your problem. Should you do conservative treatments and avoid surgery?
Several years ago, Dr. Saal, a leading spine specialist with the San Francisco Spine Institute, published a three-year study that concluded that half of the 250,000 lower-back operations in the United States every year are unnecessary, hence detrimental to the long-term health of the patient and the healthcare system.

There are two types of tennis injuries traumatic and cumulative.
Valerie's Story: So, there I was going to my first tennis tournament all excited. I forgot about what I now know is the most important thing. STRETCHING! I did not stretch before playing, and I regretted that for weeks. My ankle had been sprained. This put my tennis game down so low. I am finally recovering, and now I will always stretch. After I hurt my ankle, I went to Dr. Marr's office, where I began treatment on my ankle and then also after x-rays I found out I needed some adjustments on my lower back.
Warm weather is here and for many of us it's time for swimming in pools, lakes and oceans.
Swimming is a great form of exercise, which works almost every muscle in your body without putting weight on your back. It helps you to stay fit, strengthens your heart and lungs, and increases overall endurance. Plus it is relaxing and a great stress relief.
Swimming can help with your back pain as long as you use proper techniques.
If you suffer from back pain do not overuse forward strokes because it can over stretch your low back and actually cause more pain. It is better to use sidestrokes or backstrokes to lessen stress on your back.
